Setting up

Add yourself as Admin, delete the demo user admin
You can have multiple admins with their own passwords.

1. After logging in, in the menu, go to Tools > Shop administrators
2. Click insert button
3. Enter name, email and passwords, and click save.
4. Now delete the demo account by clicking the little red x along the same row as the word demo or demo@demo.com. (this step is very important)
5. you will need to confirm the delete, by clicking the delete button once the page refreshes.

Add Your logo

1. Upload your logo, : (Menu item) Tools > Upload your logo (Please make sure you name your logo either logo.gif, logo.jpg or logo.png before uploading. )

Web pages
You may have unlimited web pageslike privacy, shipping pages linking both internally and externally from your site. lets create the about us page

1. go to Tools > Web pages in the menu
2. click create new page
3. Enter 'About us' in the page title field
4. lets say we wanted the link to about us in the info box in the left column first position, we would select yes for sidebox and 0 to place it in the first order position for the column.
5. Enter some information in descriptions section, and click save.
6. make sure you check the home page so everything looks right

Store name, address etc

1. Go to Advance settings > My store in the menu
2. click on 'Your shop name' tab and change it to reflect your real shop name
3. Store name can be the same
4. Store address and pahone is the only other important one
5. the rest is set for Australia and optimum settings

Postage and shipping
You may use any number of postal methods

1. Go to Modules > Shipping in the menu
2. double click on shipping methods, to edit/install/delete
3. Once happy with adjustments, make sure to test by buying off the site using active postal methods.

Payments and gateways
You may use any number of gateways that are available

1. Go to Modules > Payment in the menu
2. double click on payment methods, to edit/install/delete
3. Once happy with adjustments, make sure to test by buying off the site using active postal methods.

Taxes/Currencies
GST and Australian dollar and Australian zones is set by default

1. to create a new tax, Go to Taxes/Zones>tax's in the menu
2. click new tax class
3. Enter new tax name
4. go to Taxes/Zones>tax rates in the menu
5. click new tax rate
6. enter rate and save
7. tax rate is now ready to use

Test your site

1. Add a product to your shop thats worth $1
2. Now, Go to the front end of the shop, and now act like a real shopper, purchasing the above item.
3. Check payment modules, by purchasing (for real) through your shop.
4. Make sure shipping amounts are correctly calculated during checkout by entering addresses in different zones and item weights during signup (if shipping, zones and/or weights are enabled).

 

Once your happy with the above, your good to go. Start loading all your products and promote your site everywhere.
