Quick start guide

Start by logging into the admin section, your login details would have arrived via the welcome email.

1. Add yourself as an admin: (Menu item) Tools > Shop administrators. Logout of the shop (logout link up the top of the page) and log back in with your newly created username and password. Now, go back to (Menu item) Tools > Shop administrators and Remove the Demo User for security reasons.
2. Add/delete/edit shipping info, about us pages etc: (Menu item) Tools > Web pages
3. Store name, address etc: (Menu item) Advance settings > My store
4. Upload your logo, : (Menu item) Tools > Upload your logo
5. Setup accepted shipping methods: (Menu item) Modules > Shipping
6. Setup accepted payment methods: (Menu item) Modules > Payment
7. Set up Taxes/Currencies: (Menu item) Taxes/Zones.
8. Now add your products, but first you will need categories: (Menu item) Products/Cats > Categories / Products

Test your site

1. Add a product to your shop thats worth $1
2. Now, Go to the front end of the shop, and now act like a real shopper, purchasing the above item.
3. Check payment modules, by purchasing (for real) through your shop.
4. Make sure shipping amounts are correctly calculated during checkout by entering addresses in different zones and item weights during signup (if shipping, zones and/or weights are enabled).

 

Once your happy with the above, your good to go. Start loading all your products and promote your site everywhere.
